Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions following a plenary session of the 9th St Petersburg International Cultural Forum, held on November 17, 2023.
The Government of the Russian Federation was instructed to continue financing cultural development events under the Russian Federation’s state programme Development of Culture.
The Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Finance were instructed to assist the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre in organising and holding a tour in the Kingdom of Thailand in 2024.
The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and the Foreign Ministry, as well as the Russian Literature Institute (Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, were instructed to submit proposals for the creation of an open online digital platform in the internet information and telecommunications network to post foreign language translations of Russian classics of the 19th and 20th centuries.
